The flagship wine of the Tognetti wines portfolio. This single vineyard, estate grown Chardonnay is not a typical California Chardonnay, we honor the traditional burgundy style.
We utilize an extra light press during the winemaking process allowing us to work with only the highest quality juice. The wine is aged in French oak barrels, 40% new oak, to blend layers of aroma and flavor which gently linger for a harmonious finish.
Light gold in color, the aromas of tropical fruit with a refreshing hint of citrus are balanced by hazelnut and fresh baked bread on the nose. The taste of sweet pineapple and crisp citrus combine with mild acidity, mineral tones, and a smooth vanilla crème brûlée finish.
A full-bodied red wine that expresses the classic Napa Cabernet Sauvignon style.
We source our Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from a small family-owned vineyard in St. Helena. We gently guide the fruit from juice to wine. We allow the juice to soak on the grape skins where it develops the deep dark color you see in the glass. The result is a well balanced Cabernet Sauvignon that puts the unique qualities of the fruit on display while artfully blending layers of flavor through the use of French oak barrels.
Aromas of dried herbs, cassis, old cedar box, white pepper and tobacco leaf. Notes of espresso and chocolate are unveiled as the wine opens. The palate is not linear in its presentation but shows plenty of depth of flavor including plum, blackberry and red cherry. Seamless on the finish with finer grained polished tannins. No sharp edges here.
